After dark: Felting in the Woodland

Join us as we welcome Rhiannon from Big Pigeon Crafts for a felting workshop in the woodland

28 British pounds
Meanwood Valley Urban Farm

Service Description

Learn to needle felt by the campfire and accessorise a woolly hat with your own felted design! Join us in the woodland at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm for a mindful crafting evening and come away with your own nature-inspired design. Led by local artist, Rhiannon Fuller (Big Pigeon Crafts) you will create a unique felted piece of clothing to take away with you inspired by the springtime woodland. We’ll provide the materials, tools, teaching, and of course marshmallows for toasting. This workshop is suitable for those who've never done felting as well as those with some experience. Your crafting will be illuminated by the light from the campfire, magical fairy lights and you'll be given a head torch to wear for the evening too! If you have an item (e.g. knitted hat or scarf etc) that you'd like to felt onto, feel free to bring it. However, we'll be bringing an assortment of hats for you to choose from. As always, our workshops are safe welcoming spaces. These workshops are aimed at adults but if you have a teenager who is keen to come and join in then they are more than welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent/ guardian. If you have any adjustments that may be needed for you to take part, please include this on your booking form or drop us an email with any questions. There is parking available on site, toilets and there are no steps to access the site. To find our woodland, take the path on the left before the epicentre signposted 'exit only' and follow this up to the left until you reach a black gate. Go through the gate and you should see us around the campfire.
