Bushcraft Day for Adults

Service Description

Join Emma for a full day in the Woodland at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm. Welcoming complete beginners and also outdoor enthusiasts, we will spend the day outdoors learning different way to start fires, practicing the art of knot tying, meeting new people and creating interesting natural things using tools. The day will be tailored around the group but we will spend plenty of time around the fire and will have a go at some unique cooking methods specifically for outdoor cooking! You'll be guided through this but we'll also be welcoming lots of ideas and shared suggestions too. Shelter building will form a big part of the day- especially if it's raining! We'll be developing knot tying skills and creating a variety of different shelters using different materials. It should be a great day and a fantastic chance to do something a bit different, meet new people and leave some some essential survival skills! A wonderful chance to connect with nature. As always, sessions are inclusive, safe spaces. This event takes place in the woodland area at Meanwood Farm. The woodland area can be found by walking from the car park towards the big wooden building but before reaching the building, take the left turn that says 'exit only' and follow it round until you reach a black gate. We're through there! There is a car park on site or a bus stop just 5mins walk away. 10am- 3pm. We'll have about an hour for lunch. You can use that time to chat to others, eat, practice knots and ask some questions! The cafe will be open on site for you to purchase lunch or feel free to bring a packed lunch with you!
