Service Description
Calling all Dads! Join us in the woodland for a fun afternoon getting to grips with some survival skills. You'll spend the afternoon in the stunning woodland area at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm and learn how to tie knots, build different types of shelters and practice lighting fires using a flint and steel and basic natural materials. Whether you're a complete beginner or consider yourself a survival expert, you'll be very welcome! The session is designed for children of all ages to take part with their Dads! All families welcome- including adult children and adult Dads! Recommended ages 7+. Bring Dad along to the woods for an extra special, memorable Fathers Day activity. Our session will end with marshmallow toasting around the campfire. A chance to chat, share stories and just enjoy the products of your firelighting skills! All Yorkshire WLD sessions are welcoming, inclusive spaces and sessions are participant-led. If you need adjustments so that you can partake in the session, just let us know on the booking form. £10pp Parking is available at the farm and we are just a 5 min walk from the bus stop. When you arrive at the farm, take the left path signposted 'exit only' on the left before the epicentre building and follow it round to the left until you reach the black gate- this is the forest area!
